Supernova Chrome is a very high gloss, flexible white film with a dye-sublimation receptive coating that is scratch and chemical resistant. Photo quality images can be transferred to Supernova Chrome from dye-sub transfer paper using either a platen heat press or a heated rotary cylinder press. The cylinder press allows for production of very large images, as shown in attached photos and videos.
Once printed, the continuous tone image is encapsulated so it can easily be cleaned and sanitized with many different cleaning solutions without causing damage to the image. No lamination required. The finished image has outstanding color saturation and gloss, exceeding that of metal prints. Being flexible, it can easily be shipped in a tube. Mounting on a smooth rigid substrate can emulate the look of a metal print at a much lower price point.
This product is available in rolls up to 64" wide and in sheets of various sizes.
Targeted applications include POP for luxury goods, large format photographic images, high end fine art images, décor in medical facilities that require regular sanitizing, photo customized dry erase marker boards, tradeshow displays, and lower cost alternative to metal prints.
